Copenhagen.

I saw an episode of Rick Steves' travel series yesterday, on PBS, where he was visiting Copenhagen. It's such a gorgeous city, with beautiful canals and amazing architecture. Everything, from middle age designs to the thoroughly modern, is represented, often side by side, in somehow perfect harmony. The people, beer and food seem delightful. And there is a region called Christiania, formed by squatters about 40 years ago, that is rather like a peaceful anarchist hippie commune, where there are no billboards or ads of any kind. It's populated by artists and musicians and people are free to be themselves.
Maybe I'll pack up and move to Denmark. It's an idea. Of course, there is the pesky matter of learning Danish - although a large number of Danes speak English as a second language.
